Title

My staff sip of the month is Tetramythos Malagousia, from Achaia, Greece. The smell is primarily stone fruit, like peaches and apricots, with a hint of vanilla and cream. The taste also follows through with the stone fruits, and the wine shows lively acidity, a medium body, and is bone dry. The most interesting part about this wine in my opinion is that the body, and vanilla notes would usually mean the wine had been oaked but the grape, Malagousia, actually displays these characteristics naturally without any need for oak during the aging process. If you’re looking for something new and interesting to try you should definitely give this wine a try!
